These earrings were formed from a reclaimed red Solo cup washed ashore on Sanibel Island, Florida. The color transition from deep red to soft pink and sandy tones comes entirely from long term sun fading and exposure, with no added pigment.
The barnacles were intentionally left embedded in the material, preserving the object’s time in the ocean rather than erasing it. One earring clearly retains the original SOLO lettering, visible within the piece, making the source unmistakable.
Each earring is shaped by hand, sealed in resin, and polished while keeping the material’s history intact. The Driftstone logo is embedded on the back of each piece. Each piece is lightweight, comfortable, and suspended from gold-tone stainless steel ear wires (21 gauge) for everyday wear.
Each pair is one of a kind.
