This ring was formed from a mix of plastics recovered along the shoreline of Sanibel Island, Florida. The materials include fragments of various colors and densities shaped by sun, salt, and waves before being brought together into a single band.
Small traces of marine life that attached themselves to the plastic while it was in the water were intentionally left visible. Fine plant material and barnacle remnants remain embedded within the ring.
The ring was shaped, refined, and sealed in resin to stabilize the materials and create a smooth, durable surface suitable for daily wear. Each angle reveals a different combination of color, texture, and embedded detail.
